We have recently received this from an owner of one of our Simply Soft Bears.
I would like to introduce you to a teddy friend of mine. Her name is Lady Taffy. If I remember correctly, she was purchased at a Harrod’s near Trafalgar Square about 1998, maybe 1999. I wanted a high end teddy for my travel companion so I splurged when I was in London, my 3rd stop on a gap year travel through Europe. I wanted a teddy that could last for decades no matter the abuse and, god damn it, she has.She is called Lady Taffy due to the close proximity of Trafalgar Square to her finding her forever home..
She has traveled with me since then to 23 countries and a few once-in-a-lifetime experiences. She bears (LOL) a patch or memento from each one.
She has been a seat cushion, a pillow, a friend maker, a bragging trophy and a long-day-at-the-airport cuddle comfort for many years. At first just for me, but as time passed, we had five children who also traveled with Lady Taffy strapped to luggage and benefited by her travel expertise! She is one amazing lady!
I just wanted to let you know that you had made a genuinely amazing stuffed animal. This little bear has been dragged all over the world. Through jungles, savannahs and beaches, on more airplanes than I want to think about, and has suffered more teddy indignities than I CARE to think about. All in the name of being a good teddy bear to a family who loves to travel and loves her. We don’t go anywhere without our Lady Taffy.
